Your fans in Mexico are waiting for your next album. You’ve been recording, yes?
Josh: Yes.
Ryan: Yeah, it’s all done now.
When is it coming? Does it have a name?
Josh: Well, we --
Ryan: Do you want the exclusive, darlin?
I would never turn that down.
Ryan: It’s all yours then. The album is called Miracle Pill and it’s coming out in September.
You’ve heard it here first.
Ryan: That’s right.
What can your fans expect from Miracle Pill?
Ryan: This is our first dubstep album.
It is?
Ryan: No, no, I’m joking. It’s us but, you know, evolved. We never wanna be doing the same thing twice so we change it up from album to album.
Josh: We’re always trying to branch out into new areas, find new influences.
Have you thought about doing any songs in Spanish? That could be a new direction for you.
Ryan: Noooo no. I think I would make a lot of Spanish speaking people mad if they heard me butchering the language like that. And I can barely remember the words to my stuff in English let alone Spanish.
This is your first stop in Mexico. How do you like Mexico so far?
Josh: I love it.
Ryan: Yeah, it’s great, it’s a really cool place. Monterrey especially. We were out exploring the plaza… what’s it called?
The Macroplaza?
Ryan: Yeah that’s the one. Very cool, very cool. That Neptune fountain is something. And with the mountains in the background? Very beautiful place.
Is there anywhere else you’re looking forward to visiting in Mexico?
Josh: I’m excited for Mexico City.
Ryan: Yeah that should be cool. We’re exploring as we go.
Do you plan to come back to Mexico again?
Ryan: Yeah for sure, everyone here has been so nice. It’s hard to believe it’s the first time we’ve played here.
Josh: I’d love to come back.
Fever Dream se estará presentando el 11 de Mayo en el Festival de Corona Capital en Guadalajara y en Ciudad de Mexico el 13 de Mayo en el Pepsi Center WTC. Thank you for speaking to me today.
Ryan: Thanks for having us.
