the only child of a couple that had a notoriously unconventional marriage and ultimately ended in amicable divorce and award winning co-parenting when clem was just a few years old. she grew up spending summers in california and connecticut with her father, while her mother proved more nomadic and the pair drifted through various european cities through the years, including paris, london, madrid, and vienna. was educated through a mix of boarding schools up until she was fourteen, when she began studying at the royal ballet school in london followed by the school of american ballet in new york. she was an apprentice with the new york city ballet when she landed the role of thomasin and had actually intended for the role to be her first and only before returning to ballet, but she was successfully bit by the acting bug. still dances for her own enjoyment. speaks english, spanish, catalan, portuguese, italian, and french and her accent is a hodge podge as a result.
