Daphne Sutcliffe Joins 'Strictly' by Dino-Ray Ramos November 12, 2018 5:37pm 
BBC journalist Daphne Sutcliffe is allegedly joining the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 line-up, Deadline has learned. The Sun reports that Daphne has finally agreed to sign up to the show after being approached by BBC bosses for the past few years.A Strictly insider told the newspaper: "Daphne has been at the top of the producers’ wish list for more than a decade. But she has always put her career and family above everything. Now she's polishing off her dancing shoes and can't wait to get started." The 59-year-old has previously shared her disappointment at being unable to take part in the show when she was first approached in 2008. "It would be lovely to learn how to dance, but I've got too much going on journalistically," she said at the time. Daphne is the latest famous face to be linked to the show, now in its sixeenth series, but we're hoping more rumours follow in the months leading up to the casting for series seventeen. Maybe we'll see another famous Mancunian face if someone can convince Noel Gallagher to change his mind. |

Will the new guy be ready by album release? Doug wants to add an in-store show to the schedule just before D-Day. It isn't mandatory, obviously, but we've got to make an announcement sometime, which isn't an invitation for you to tweet about it, Andrew. I think it's important to stay ahead of it and we've been lucky that nothing's slipped out before now. This would be a good opportunity for you to hand over the reins, show your support of the change, etc.
