CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT GOALS
does your character have a long lost parent? siblings? children? are there any secrets you would like to eventually be revealed? are you okay with something happening to your character that might be out of their hands? is there a specific storyline you might want our help in facilitating? ie getting on the wrong side of the law or a pack of hunters, being changed into another species, having an experience in the fae plane, etc! what would you like to see for upcoming plots, even if it's just a quick sentence suggestion!

→ now that we know that amy's father is different to andy and jamie's, i want to have her delve deeper into the relationship with her "new" family, that i think was sort of put on hold with covid and me being head empty. BUT i was thinking that with universities closing in the uk because of covid, it would make sense for her niece (alexis) to have come to stay with her and finished her coursework online. i think she should be finished or nearly finished??? i can't find the narrative or comment that i mentioned it in and it isn't on geni SO i'll have to look it up and find what year she was actually born, though i think she's close to sam's age

→ tore assumes his parents are alive somewhere out there in the world. they're hard to kill, and though he knows that he isn't the only of his species, he hasn't seen anyone related to him in centuries. he was the only one of his parents' children that he knows of but in the time since they parted, it's entirely possible that his parents had another child, or that they've died, or even gone back to jötunheimr. what i definitely want to explore is the possibility of him meeting someone else who crossed over at another time. tore associates fae with the aesir and they are therefore his "enemy" in a way, so a member of his species that has a better relationship with the fae would be cool to have him interact with. he's been married a few times, but they're all dead, and if we're talking surprise characters, having one of them come back into his life as something else would be really cool.

→ his "childhood" and early life are also things that i plan to explore within the comm. all of his memories are from living on earth. all of them. eventually i want to go into how and why he doesn't remember anything from before a certain age and why he has significant gaps in his memories as an older person as well. i want it to be ultimately facilitated by either a trip to the other realm or otherwise magically-enduced. i'd also like him to make a trip back to norway, which could obviously be connected to any of these other events, but it's been a long time for him.

→ for things that are connected to the wider community, i know we have that upcoming plot where the magic of the escape room gets out of hand and spreads into the city, but after that, i have some general ideas for potential things that could even be standalone events, but don't have to be. one big thing is that he's super into the idea of having to fight during ragnarok, so the discovery of a weapon he can use or one of the ones that can kill him (or kill a "god") is something i want him to find/create/have created. it doesn't necessarily have to be one with a name (dáinsleif, gram, gungnir, hǫfuð, hrotti, lævateinn, mistilteinn, mjölnir, ridill, skofnung, sword of freyr, tyrfing) but having it exist would be awesome.

→ that said, the cool mini quests!! a hunt for a mythological creature -- maybe that mead-giving goat, the heiðrún. a search for some sort of ore/metal/etc that is needed to construct a special weapon. mysterious map found -- someone needed to translate the language written, and someone/a group needed to investigate, possibly with the promise of creature afterwards. someone of a certain (rare?) species gets accused of killing off others of that species in a highlander sort of situation where there can be only one but we don't know that it's actually them. a company is looking for outside help to clear out and then tear down a vacant house and the reward can be money or being allowed to scavenge what you find in the house BUT also very dangerous and the things living in the house are big mad about this
all of that aside, i am always up for tossing him into a situation that is not listed, and that's out of his control, with whatever lasting (or temporary) side effects there may be!
